Delete local MXpeek data

Use MXpeek's own destructive control before removing the application. Local deletion does not depend on opening the encrypted store or reaching Google.

Use Sign Out & Delete Local Data

  1. Open MXpeek from the macOS menu bar.
  2. Open the account/application menu.
  3. Choose Sign Out & Delete Local Data.
  4. Review the irreversible-deletion explanation and confirm.
  5. Keep MXpeek open until it reports that local cleanup is complete.

The control remains available while MXpeek is unlocked, locked, offline, awaiting Google reauthorization, or unable to open the Local Mail Store safely.

What is removed

  • MXpeek's locally stored Google authorization credentials;
  • the sole encryption key for the Local Mail Store;
  • the encrypted database and MXpeek-owned sidecar or temporary storage artifacts;
  • the Connected Gmail Account marker; and
  • the current Unlock Session and other ephemeral authorization material.

Deleting the sole key provides practical cryptographic erasure of MXpeek-owned data. It is not a claim of forensic deletion from APFS snapshots, backups, crash dumps, or copies independently made together with key material.

Google access is separate

MXpeek attempts to disconnect Google access during sign-out when the network permits, but local deletion continues even if Google cannot be reached. If remote revocation cannot be confirmed, follow the Google Account revocation steps separately.

If MXpeek was removed first

Reinstall an authentic MXpeek build from the same private source that supplied it, then use Sign Out & Delete Local Data. This Compliance Site does not publish an installer. If reinstalling is not possible, email support@mb-soft.dev for device-specific cleanup guidance without sending Gmail data or Local Mail Store files.
